True but the point of this video is to see how the two most extreme sport sedans from separate continents compare. Nobody will cross shop, but all enthusiasts are curious to see the results.

The American muscle cars still have character and not having a loud V8 will be a bigger compromise imo. The difference in performance is so stark though, and drag racing is supposed to be their thing. I’d feel like an asshole when my screaming V8 got walked by something silent. Good to see Dodge has something in the works. Stoned rant over I promise |

when EV's can weigh as little and have the same dynamics let me know. They're heavy, you feel the weight, sure straight line they can be fast but it's not the same

If you buy a car solely based on whether it beats another car from a roll, you probably need to get your priorities straight and if you are buying a car to go fast and nothing else, why would you get either of these? Get an M550i and go FBO with a tune for 10's of thousands less.

Awesome! I guess this clears up the speculations many had questioning the superiority of the M5CS relative to the M5C.

What is still missing despite all these reviews:
1) Side-by-side comparison between M5CS and M5 Competition with carbon ceramic brakes on the track and the road. (Maybe SavageGeese can do this) Bonus points if the M5 Competition wore Cup 2 or Corsa tires and is a 2021 model or later! 2) Side-by-side comparison between M5CS and AMG GT 4 door, likely the closest competitor and the cross-shopping option. (Maybe the Panamera as well) - on road and track qualities (see 1). I see a lot of superlatives in most of the videos released so far, but I can see those same superlatives in the M5 and M5 Competition (after all, didn't the M5 "base" deliver the drifting world record?). |

The M5 CS is amazing. I really like the rear bucket seats.
The same price argument comes with every special model BMW, and usually on long term ownership the special models will hold their values, which reduces the overall cost of ownership. I really like the M5 Comp, but this is the pinnacle sport sedan. I agree that it would be great to see this compared to the AMG GT and the Panamera TurboS. |

You might have trouble finding one.
If you love the M8, I would talk to your dealer about getting on the list for the M8CS. I haven't even heard a slightest bit of a rumor about it, but I am guessing that they will make one and then the M8CS will be the most powerful road going BMW.
