Already have my appt scheduled for this on June 28th, as well as the elusive rear diff fluid to wrap up my 1200 mile (1900 mile) break-in service.

The article states that the recall is kicking off on July 6. Is the patch available sooner?

Agreed about the beta but this has happened on many BMW'S including the f10 M5. Fuel pumps were a big issue. This should have been solved before release.

Guys - this is not a problem with the fuel pump. Read the bulletin. This is purely a software problem. And it reflects the same issue that has been around for a long time now - except now they're treating the issue as a recall. Not more. You go in, you get updated software- you go on your merry way.

yes, just a software update. Most members reported no further issues after updating the software.

That's why I like waiting a couple/few years after launch before purchasing. Give's the manufacture some time to smooth out the kinks.

With such complex software powering today's vehicles, this is no surprise. I've worked in the software industry for over two decades, and I think this trend will continue. It's also not necessarily cause for alarm. It's also worth appreciating what kind of issues have already been caught in testing prior to shipping the car.

So they permanently dropped you off their list then and opted to sell to someone else ??
