The PTP blanket just drapes over the turbines and cats. It will reduce heat rising to the coolant tank. But it also blankets heat in the V of the V8, probably increasing thermal load on the engine coolant and oil. The more ideal approach in my opinion is to contain the heat in the turbine and piping so it goes out the exhaust to the extent possible.
The best system would also include a coated manifold. But that would be a lot of work.
Reducing the restrictions in the exhaust that trap heat also helps, but affects the warranty and legality.

Makes sense. I’m currently catless “thermal coated” dinan x pipe down to akrapovic mufflers. No issues with the tank as of yet but I also do not daily anymore. Let’s see how long she lasts
