This was a damn scary problem. First road trip on my M5. Car had about 900 miles. It went into limp mode at full speed on high way. I had the sense to move to shoulder quickly and then the engine shut down. I waited a minute and turned on and it was fine. But could have been bad.
They fixed it in the 1200 mike service.
