Installing Supersprint turbo manifolds, Jet Hot 2500 coated. I put this mod pretty far down the priority list, but I have already picked most of the low hanging fruit and was bored.

Took about a day. No rocket science. Just patience and care. The stock heat shield that runs from under the alternator to under the turbo compressor sections has to be cut. The heat shield won’t clear the larger runner Supersprint manifolds. The heat shield insulates the compressor sections of the turbo, including the wastegate creator for the left turbo (bank 2), and the turbo oil drains from the manifold heat. It extends from the alternator only to the first runners of the manifolds — the pipes to exhaust ports 1 and 5. It does not extend past that. Ideally you would wrap the bank 2 turbo wastegate actuator and turbo drains in insulated sleeves or wraps, but I did not. I had the manifolds coated with Jet Hot 2500 so they should heat up the area a lot less than the stock manifolds. Picture is before sending out for coating.
