I replaced my tank preventatively, put heat reflective tape under it, put heat reflective tape under the upper sheetmetal cover, and blanketed my turbos to reduce heat. And I open my hood pretty regularly to check on things.

did you have to do anything special when you swapped out the tank, did it have to be pressurized or anything? was it just loosening the bolts holding the tank, disconnecting the hoses and sensor?
