I know there's been a lot of debate about this, but Akropovic and BMW have worked very closely together developing exhaust systems for race cars, street cars, and motorcycles for several years now. I believe their partnership goes back to at least 2011. So chances are even though Akropovic doesn't manufacturer it, the MPE system is almost definitely an Akropovic exhaust made to BMW's spec. That's why they're always on the safety cars during development.
